Since November 2000 Yannis Pachygiannis is member of the Body of Inspectors of the Ministry of Labour where he serves as Technical Inspector of OSH in the Centre for the Prevention of Danger at Work - Athens and Crete, situated in Athens.

From this position he is dealing with all matters having to do with the prevention of dangers in the course of all working processes and activities in the area of Athens aiming to the advancement of safety and health in working environments.

His activities include:

He dealt with safety and health at work as well as with the detection and treatment of dangers at works in working environments such as the Construction Areas of the stadiums, fields and the other installations for the Olympics of Athens, Underground Constructions for the Metro lines, Industries, Ship Yards etc.

In the course of his work he investigated more than 500 accidents at work, the variety of which offers experience on a great range of dangers or potential dangers of all types of activities.
