UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES

Architectural School of Aristotles University of Thessaloniki: Enrollement and attendance.

During the studies:

(i)  Awarded with the first States' Scolarship for students' performance on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Academic Year.

(ii) Design Project (Teamwork of four students) for the International Students' Competition Robert Schmidt Price '93 was among the first six projects and was included in the publications of the Competition.

(iii) Publication of a proposal and design project created for a 3rd cyrcle Workshop in a special edition of the architectural magazine "TEUCHOS" dedicated to the city of Thessaloniki - as an example of distinguished material of the Workshop.

 

 JUNE '94: 

GRADUATION PERIOD : (i)  Final Project / Thesis : "Conference Center in Naufplion" - supervisor A. Kotsiopoulos. Grade 10/10. (ii) Graduation grade 8,58/10 - Distinction. (iii) Technical Chamber of Greece Award for students' performance.

•    FOREIGN LANGUAGES: English language (First Certificate in English of Cambridge University, IELTS and a full year of exercising the language on postgraduate, academic level in UCL - London). Italian language - intermediate level.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

•    Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece / licenced to exercise the Architectural Profession since 1994.

•    Elected member of the Representative Board of the Association of Greek Architects for the periods: 1997 - 1999 and 2005 - 2007.

•    Completion of military service in Greek Navy since 18-2-2000.

•    Elected member of the Administrative Board of the Association of Inspectors of Occupational Safety and Health of the Ministry of Labour for the period 2004-2005 and General Secretary for the period of 2006-2007.

 

WORKS and EXPERIENCE

•    Architectural studies and supervision of all construction stages of technical works (private sector level).

•    Graphic Design: logos, adds, signs, corporate image promotion through instalations and the web.

•    Web Designing.

•    Participation to the three-members workgroup of the Technical Chamber of Greece that was introdused to support the Greek President of the "Architects' Council of Europe"(ACE), Prof. Ioannis Tsouderos (NTUA) during the Greek presidency-period (1997). During this period the new constitution of ACE was introduced and approved by the General Assembly of Athens under the name "Athens' Constitution of ACE".

•    Participation to the scientific team invited by the University of Athens to run a research program on the evaluation of the buildings of the School of Law and to introduce proposals for usage optimization.

•    Participation to the evaluation process (run by the Ministry of Environment, Planning and Public Works) of buildings' damages caused by the earthquake of Athens (7th September 1999): Primary level: from 11th to 26th of September 1999, Secondary level: from 27th of September to 6th of October 1999.

•    Two architectural proposals for the alteration of two buildings of the Greek Navy at the installations of Votanikos - Athens (military service period).

•    Inspector of Occupational Safety and Health of the Ministry of Labour since November 2000. Inspections of workplaces (OSH matters) and investigations of accidents at work in a great range of activities of the private and public sector (Construction for the Olympics, Athens Metro Construction, Industrial Sector, Shipyards etc.).
